KIWANIS IS . . .

A worldwide voluntary service organization Individuals who want to become personally involved in making their communities better places in which to live Members working together to achieve what individuals cannot do alone Club projects determined by local needs An opportunity to expand members’ world view and international understanding. KIWANIS IS NOT . . . A social club, although fellowship and friendships are created through Kiwanis Affiliated with any religious or political organization A secret society with secret rituals A political circle … when political issues are presented at club meetings, they are presented in a balanced and impartial manner

Weekly Meetings

Our weekly meetings are held at Lake Effect Arts Center on Cedar Street at 12:00 PM on Tuesdays Programs are included on all weeks except the 2nd Tuesday of each month because Board Meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month In case school is cancelled for inclement weather, we will not meet.

Through a week of acting, stage design, and hands-on production, the Manistique Area Kiwanis Summer Children’s Theatre Program gives local students a chance to explore the arts and build new skills. In partnership with the Manistique Schools Drama Department, the program fosters confidence, creativity, and leadership in children from all backgrounds.
