Our club was organized and “chartered” on August 14 of 1995. Since then, we’ve continued to meet on a weekly basis. Our time and day for meeting have moved around a bit, but we have settled in on Tuesdays at 12:00 PM, Each week we have a typical program that includes sharing in the pledge of allegiance to the American flag, an invocation prayer, sharing some good things from our lives, with an update on upcoming service projects and fund raisers. We try to have a weekly program to update everyone on various things happening in our community (speakers are invited to share what’s happening in our area). We will be meeting weekly at the First Baptist Church (on Walnut Street) in Manistique.
Board Meetings
Our elected board officers meet once a month on the 2nd Tuesday of each month to take care of some of the business matters of the club. On the 2nd Tuesday meetings there are no community programs presented. We’ve found that our weekly meetings have lots of advantages for us personally. The meetings help to provide information and inspiration through interesting programs and presentations. We widen our circle of acquaintances and co-workers in working for good things in our community. It also broadens our circle of business and social acquaintances in our area.
